American writer Harper Lee, which is sometimes called the author of the novel, has died in his hometown of Monroeville 90 years old.

She was born April 28, 1926, and was one of four children in the family. Harper Lee graduated from high school in Monroeville and went to college on a specialty jurisprudence, but never finished it.

Harper Lee worked as a representative of the airline, while in 1956, gave her friends are not paid annual leave with an offer to write for it all the time, what she had not had time.

In 1960, she released her first novel "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee who brought the Pulitzer Prize and earned the flattering praise of critics.

But since its publication writer led a very private life, and almost did not communicate with the press.

She said that "it is better to be silent than ... stupid." Harper Lee has taken honorable positions of various companies and universities, but rarely appeared in public.

The book was published with a circulation of 30 million copies and has been translated into many languages. And while other literary idols today, "To Kill a Mockingbird" is still considered a voice of a generation.

In 1962, the novel was made into a movie, and Gregory Peck, who played Atticus Finch, becomes her friend for many years.

The second and last novel writer came in 2015. The novel "Go set a watchman" comes twenty years after the events described in the first novel by Harper Lee. Write it Harper Lee beginning 1957, even before it has started to work on "To Kill a Mockingbird." However, some critics believe that the novel was published for commercial purposes, and is a rough draft of the novel "To Kill a Mockingbird." Someone wrote that out of respect for the author to publish this novel should not.

In 2007, after suffering a stroke Harper Lee moved into a nursing home. All business writer led her sister Alice, who died in 2014 at the age of 104 years, and since then, Harper practically did not communicate with the outside world. Out of respect for her Monroeville residents also did not discuss with reporters the details of her life.

After the death of the writer owner of a small bookstore in Monroeville Spencer Madri, which sold works by Harper Lee, she broke the silence.

"The world has lost a brilliant mind and a great writer We will remember her for her honesty, talent, for the truth, that she gave us, perhaps, before the world was ready for them." - He said.
